Dr. Judith Canlas is a naturopathic physician at AIM. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Simon Fraser University. Her desire to help others improve their health led her to complete an additional 4-year naturopathic medical program at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine.
She is inspired by the amazing resilience of the body to heal when given the right support it requires. Having volunteered as a medical student with Natural Doctors International in Nicaragua, she witnessed first hand the remarkable transformations that natural medicine can make in a population where it is their primary health care.
As a naturopathic physician, it is her mission to provide compassionate health care for her patients by listening to their needs, addressing the root cause of their illness, and motivating them to take an active role in their health through prevention and education. Her treatment approach involves a combination of acupuncture, lifestyle counseling, nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, and intravenous vitamin therapy to bring the body and mind back into balance.
Dr. Canlas enjoys a general family practice treating a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, with a focus on:
- Women’s Health
- Hormone balancing
- Fertility
- Pre/Post Conception care
She uses conventional diagnostic services to help guide her treatment plan, including laboratory and physical tests such as:
