For me, naturopathic medicine is not only a career, but a passion. My passion is helping people, like you, become healthier.
I aim to view and treat each patient as an individual, not just a “disease”. In doing so, I use an “integral”, whole-body approach to medicine which blends time-tested naturopathic treatments with cutting edge therapies. My approach to practice can be considered “eclectic” because I integrate many forms of medicine and in this way I'm able to match the strengths of each medicine to the needs of my patients.Clinical Nutrition (Diet & Supplementation)
I also have a special interest in the various ways we can use our mind for clinical benefit. This life-long interest in mind-body medicine has been bolstered with practical training from numerous sources, including Harvard medical school and various meditative traditions.
I aim to encourage balance within both the body and the mind. When balance is restored, nature’s own intelligence or “vitality” can work much more efficiently to bring about health. To me, medicine is not just a process of “fighting disease”, but one also of encouraging or “building health.”
I have experience with a wide variety of health issues ranging from physical pain and depression to many chronic degenerative conditions such as arthritis, diabetes and cancer. However, I prefer to think of myself as specializing in creating healthy people, not treating disease.
In addition to practice, I enjoy both public speaking and teaching. I am a clinical supervisor and guest lecturer at Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, and have given numerous public talks on a variety of health topics.
I am available for patient consultations at both Sage Clinic in Vancouver (604-697-0397) and Maple Ridge Naturopathic Clinic (604-477-6363)
