Dr. Bailey Sallis is a board-certified Naturopathic Doctor with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Hons) and a research certificate from the University of Alberta. During her undergraduate studies, she was a core member of the UofA track and field team where she competed as a middle-distance track athlete. She went on to pursue her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine – Boucher, where she was awarded the Governor of Excellence award. Dr. Sallis is also a published author in the European Journal of Applied Physiology. She is committed to continuing her education in order to stay current with the latest research and techniques in her field.
Dr. Sallis’ athletic background lends to her expertise and passion for musculoskeletal injury management, chronic pain, and physical performance. She also understands how a variety of other health concerns can be a further barrier to optimal functioning. This may include digestive disturbances, menstrual irregularities, anxiety, insomnia, fatigue/burnout, and acne. She works with individuals of all activity levels, and those who are driven to overcome their health concerns that are holding them back from living the life they want. Despite her focus on musculoskeletal injuries, Dr. Sallis holds a general practice and is able to address a wide range of health concerns.
Dr. Sallis strives to combine clinical judgment, patient values and the best available evidence to provide patients with an individualized treatment approach. She takes the time to understand each patient’s unique needs, concerns, and goals and is committed to educating her patients about their health and providing them with actionable and pragmatic tools that allow them to take an active role in their health.
In her personal time Dr. Sallis can usually be found outdoors running, cycling, swimming, hiking, back country camping or snowboarding. When she’s not being active, she loves to enjoy good food with friends and family!
